Clocks

A clock on a desk is read for two seconds and looked at for hours. Ours are built around silent quartz movements, because the second thing a clock should never do is make a noise in a quiet room.

The three forms

Capsule is a low horizontal lozenge, 220 mm wide, made for a shelf or a wide desk. Open Ring and Torus both read as a circle standing on its own, with the dial held inside the ring rather than filling it.

Body and dial are separate decisions

Pick the body from the 25-shade matte palette, then the dial: dots or numerals, in black, off-white, or matched to the body so the markers almost vanish. Matching the dial to the body is the quiet option and the one we would choose.

Takes a single AA battery, not included. Made and assembled by hand in Havertown, PA. Wipe with a dry cloth; keep out of direct sun.
